Contact us for more information, or visit our American University Park home search. AU Park, as it is often called, was developed in the 1920s, and includes more than 2500 single family homes, mansions, and embassies, most of which have been updated or expanded since the 1930s. The area was named for American University, a renowned institution located just south, in a neighborhood now called Spring Valley. One of the first tracts in Washington designed to accommodate car traffic, AU Park features closely spaced homes, usually with stylish front porches.
Homes in AU Park rarely come onto the market, so any opportunity to invest in real estate here is worth considering. But the area is less exclusive than listings indicate - young families should see AU Park for its wide selection of affordable homes, which became available in the early 1990s.
